New development on the corner

Development has finally begun on the corner between Darley's Terrace, Donore Avenue and Cork Street. The plot is being developed by the Iveagh Trust, a charitable trust which provides affordable housing in Dublin (unfortunately they don't seem to have a website).

The planning application reads as follows:
"The Trustees of the Iveagh Trust are applying for planning permission for a mixed use development at 40-45 Cork Street and 2-12 Donore Avenue, Dublin 8 consisting of (1) 47 no. apartments in the form of 3 Blocks ranging from 3 to 6 storeys comprising 26 no. 1-bedroom apartments, 16 no. 2-bedroom apartments . 5 no. 3-bedroom apartments, with balconies to all apartments, above ground level and also 2 no. roof gardens. (2) A terrace of 3 no. two storey three-bedroom houses. (3) 2 no. ground floor retail units with a gross floor area of 259 sq. metres. (4) Estate Office / Community Room at ground floor level for the use of the staff/ tenants of this development, area 130 sq. metres. (5) 12 no.car parking spaces at street level with vehiclular access from Darley's Terrace. (6) 20 no. bicycle spaces , bin store and landscaping to open space."
